Big Bend

This entry-level trim is eye-catching and jam-packed with cool technology and fun features. On the outside, you’ll notice its distinctive safari-style roof with side rails and the striking gray grille with the Bronco emblem in white. It rides on 17-inch gray aluminum wheels and illuminates the way with LED headlights. You can find your belongings easily, thanks to the floodlights in the rear liftgate. Performance

The base Big Bend trim comes standard with four-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and Ford’s 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that generates 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. It’s off-road-capable, thanks to the five Goes Over Any Type of Terrain (GOAT) modes. A 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine comes standard on the Badlands trim and is an available upgrade on the other models. It produces 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.

The Big Bend, Heritage, Free Wheeling, and Outer Banks trims are available with a Class II Trailer Tow Package that allows the SUV to pull up to 2,000 pounds. The Badlands tow package ups that figure to 2,200 pounds. Designed to tackle any terrain imaginable, the Badlands also has off-road performance-enhancing features such as a premium suspension and four-wheel-drive system, additional GOAT modes, and Ford Trail Control.

Mileage

The Bronco Sport’s fuel tank holds 16 gallons of regular gasoline. The 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine gets an average of 25 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg combined. The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine averages 21 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined.
