At Fahrney Ford, we respect the privacy of our California customers and website visitors. This policy describes your privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) , as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) , including the regulations that went into effect on January 1, 2026.

Geolocation Data Precise location (if app permissions granted); Imprecise location (IP address). Mobile App; Browser. Inventory search (nearest dealer); Fraud prevention.

Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) SSN, Driver’s License/State ID, precise geolocation, racial/ethnic origin (if voluntarily disclosed on credit app). You; Credit applications. Limited Use Only: We only use this to facilitate financing, comply with DMV reporting, or as strictly necessary for the vehicle transaction.

2. Retention of Data

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with legal obligations (e.g., DMV records retention laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

Important Verification Distinction (Enforcement Precedent):

5. Cookie Management & Online Tracking

We use cookies for analytics and advertising. Effective January 1, 2026, we strictly adhere to the following:

  • Symmetrical Choice: Our cookie banner gives equal visual prominence to “Accept All” and “Reject Non-Essential” . It is not easier to say “Yes” than “No.”
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends a GPC signal (or you use a privacy-focused browser like Brave), we will treat this as a valid Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing for that specific browser session .

We do not sell your data for money. However, we share online identifiers with advertising partners (e.g., Meta, Google, TikTok) to show you car inventory ads on other websites. This is defined as “Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising” under the CPRA.

We work with FordDirect to provide us with advertising and related services, and analytics. This includes, but is not limited to, the deployment of tracking technologies on our properties that collect and provide information about you to FordDirect or our provision of your name, email address, and other contact details to FordDirect, including for advertising and related services and analytics. 7. Financial Incentives (Loyalty Programs)

We offer Service Discounts, Dealer Discounts/ Specials program. When you sign up, we collect your email and VIN to send you service reminders. You can opt-in by checking the box. You can opt-out at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe.” The value of your data is reasonably calculated based on the expense associated with offering the discount.

8. Dealership-Specific Compliance (GLBA)

Because we facilitate financing and extend credit, we also comply with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). We provide you with an Initial Privacy Notice at the time of credit application and an Annual Privacy Notice regarding your non-public personal information (NPI).

9. “Shine the Light” (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83)
